- Business people with APEC Business Travel Card are permitted to stay for less than 60 days.
- From 10 March 2014, visitors travel to Phu Quoc Island: foreigners and overseas Vietnamese, who enter an international border of Vietnam and then travel to Phu Quoc Island, are permitted to stay for less than 30 days. In case, visitors wish to travel to other localities or stay at Phu Quoc island for more than 30 days, visa will be granted by Vietnam Immigration department right on the spot.
- Overseas Vietnamese will be exempt from visas for entering Vietnam.
